Central Park Cricket Public Information Centre Public Information Sessions

Join us for an information session to learn more about the park construction scheduled for this summer, how sports including cricket are permitted in Central Park, and future enforcement considerations.

Residents will have an opportunity to ask questions and talk directly with City staff about the project.

Information session participants will learn:

  • Upcoming improvements to the Central Park cricket pitch and timelines
  • Who to contact for various park issues
  • How resident feedback was used for addressing:
    • Changes in cricket field layout

  • Future improvements for the park

On the Farm PA Day Camp | Ireland House Museum Arts and Culture

We’re getting our hands dirty today at Ireland House Museum. We’ll churn fresh butter, plant some seeds, and card some wool! After all the work is done, we’ll play some Victorian games. Camp is for ages 5-12 and runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm. The cost is $55/child.

Burloak Naval Vets Ceremony: D-Day Arts and Culture

All are welcome to attend the Naval Memorial Service of the 81th Anniversary of the D-Day Landing (Juno Beach) during WWII. The Burl-Oak Naval Veterans will honour those RCN, RCNVR and Merchant Naval Veterans who were lost, wounded, captured as well as those who returned from the war.

Community Bike Ride - Ward 5 - 9:30am Community

Life is better on two wheels! 🚲

Join us for an all-ages and abilities bike ride around the neighbourhood with Ward 5 Councillor Paul Sharman.

This is a no-drop ride, families are welcome.

Ride Details:

  • Start & end point: Orchard Community Park, near the red play space.
  • Date: Sunday 2026-06-07.
  • Time: Meet at 9:30 am.
  • Duration: 1 hour, 11 km.

Shoreline Cleanup - Burlington Beach Community

A Greener Future (AGF) is a non-profit environmental organization committed to providing opportunities that bring together a community of volunteers and inspire action to create a clean, healthy environment that can be sustained for generations. The 2026 Love Your Lakes project focuses on shoreline cleanups that give volunteers the chance to help clean up beaches and parks in their own community! These events are open to the public, and a great way to get outside, meet new people, collect volunteer hours, and help reduce litter to save our lakes! These events occur at multiple locations each month and all relevant information can be found on the website. Register now for a Burlington event online at agreenerfuture.ca

This event will be held at Burlington Beach, on June 7th 2026 10am-12pm.

Litter pickers & buckets will be provided, please dress for the weather, bring a reusable water bottle & volunteer form if collecting hours.

Bike Month at the BG Beach Eco-Hub Community

Pop by our Eco-Hub on June weekends from 10am to 4pm for biking resources, tips, spin to win bike trivia, and other eco-fun!
 
On Saturday, June 20th, 11am to 3pm, the City's Cycling Committee will be available to share resources and giveaways.

Each month, we’re turning up the fun with themed activities for all ages! Whether you're crafting, playing games, or dreaming of becoming a lifeguard, there’s something for everyone. Come swim, learn, and laugh with us! All activites are listed below!

November 23rd : Fall Leaf Mural & Fun Swim 

Let’s turn our pool into a cozy autumn scene! Help us build a paper leaf mural on the walls — bring your imagination and creativity. After crafting, enjoy a splash in our fun swim! 

December 6th : Ice Safety Games

Winter is coming — are you ready? Join us for interactive ice safety games and activities. Learn how to stay safe around frozen water and what to do in an emergency. It’s cool and educational! 

January 10th : Winter Hat & Snowflake Crafts 

Let’s transform Angela Coughlan into a winter wonderland! Create snowflake art and cozy hat crafts to decorate our space. It’s a blizzard of creativity! After crafting, enjoy a splash in our fun swim! 

February 14th : Learn How to Become a Lifeguard

Ever wondered what it takes to be a lifeguard? Come learn the steps to join the team, how to volunteer in aquatics, and play lifeguard-themed games. Your journey starts here! 

April 19th : Duck Scavenger Hunt & Craft 

Quack your way through a duck-themed scavenger hunt! Then, get crafty and colour your own duck to take home. Don’t forget to join the fun swim while you're here! 

May 16th: Swim Assessments

Planning to take swim lessons this summer? Come get assessed to find your perfect level! We’ll help you get ready for registration and answer all your questions. After your assessment, enjoy a splash in our fun swim! 

June 7th : Boating Safety and Learn about our Weekly Summer Events

Heading to the cottage? During our fun swim lifeguards will teach you the essential boating safety tips and how to use lifejackets properly. Play games, win prizes, and take home life-saving knowledge for summer fun!

Notice of Statutory Public Meeting and Recommendation Report for 5164, 5366, 5470 and 5900 Upper Middle Rd and 5201 Mainway Development Application Meetings

Bousfields Inc. on behalf of Alinea Land Corporation has made applications to amend the Official Plan and Zoning By-law, and apply for a Draft Plan of Subdivision for the property located at 5164, 5366, 5470 and 5900 Upper Middle Road and 5201 Mainway (referred to as Bronte Creek Meadows).


The applications propose to create 254 lots and blocks including residential lots, parks and open space blocks, employment blocks, natural heritage and stormwater management blocks, and a new public road network as “Phase 1” of the Bronte Creek Meadows community.


Phase 1 will provide approximately 597 new residential units in a mix of single-detached, townhouse and medium-density mixed-use residences.

Speaking at the Statutory Public Meeting as a Delegation:
To speak at the Public Meeting, there are two options:

  • Pre-register to speak by noon the Friday before the meeting is to be held. You can pre-register in one of the following ways:
    • complete the online delegation request form at www.burlington.ca/delegation;
    • submit a written request by email to Legislative Services at clerks@burlington.ca, or
    • phone 905-335-7777, ext. 7481.

Register during the Public Meeting.

If you are viewing the livestream, you can register to speak by emailing clerks@burlington.ca, as noted in the ticker tape that will be scrolling along the bottom of the live stream webcast of the meeting with registration information.

If you are attending the meeting in person, you can register to speak during the meeting by following instructions provided at the meeting.
Speakers are limited to a maximum of 10 minutes each and are webcasted online. If you have presentation materials, they must be submitted to Legislative Services at clerks@burlington.ca no later than noon, the Friday before the meeting to allow for their distribution and review by all members of the Council. Please note the content of all submissions is considered public and will be posted to the City’s website.
