Let's make a difference together!
Join us at BurlingtonGreen's Eco-Hub (1094 Lakeshore Road) on July 18th and/or 25th from 9:30am -11:30am to remove invasive species. Together, we will learn about the importance of removing invasive plant species, how to invasive plants, and tackle some hotspots in the area near our Eco-Hub.
This event is family friendly, best suited for ages 10 and up. We ask all youth age 13 and younger to be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Youth ages 17 and younger are required to complete our waiver, including a signature from a parent/guardian.
Please note: Invasive species removal requires bending and or kneeling to carefully remove plants by hand at ground level. Participants may find it helpful to bring knee pads or a pad to kneel on. All other supplies will be provided, including work gloves, containers, optional safety glasses.
This is a great opportunity to learn about the negative effects of invasive plant species, while helping to support native plants and wildlife in our local greenspace.
This activity is eligible for high school volunteer hours! Please bring your volunteer form.
