The Touch-a-Truck event scheduled for Saturday is cancelled due to the forecasted weather conditions. We appreciate everyone’s understanding as we prioritize the safety, comfort and overall experience of event participants. We look forward to seeing everyone next time.
The event gives residents and their families an opportunity to:
Get an up-close look at City vehicles, including a Burlington Transit bus, street sweeper, snowplow, fire truck, zamboni, and more.
Visit and learn about the services provided by City staff from various departments.
Experience what it’s like to operate a snowplow and backhoe in a simulator.
Visit city staff at various department booths to learn about programs and to speak with city representatives.
The event is held outdoors, rain or shine. Visitors should dress according to weather conditions. In the event of thunder or lightning, the event will be cancelled, and a notice will be shared on the City’s corporate social media channels (@cityburlington).
Admission and parking are free.
Parking is available in the Nelson Recreation Center Parking Lot. Overflow parking is available at the Nelson Stadium Lot. Visitors are encouraged to carpool where feasible or take Burlington Transit.
