The City of Burlington is thrilled to invite residents to the grand opening celebration of the newly built Skyway Community Centre and Park on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 1 to 3 p.m.  Mayor Marianne Meed Ward and other special guests will be on hand to officially open the start-of-the-art facility with a "first puck drop" and public art unveiling, kicking off free, family-friendly activities.

Opening Day Highlights

1 p.m. - Opening ceremony and remarks

1:30 p.m. - Nexxice synchronized skating performance

2 p.m. - Sledge hockey demo and free public skating (until 4 p.m.)

2:30 p.m. - Ceremonial first puck drop and photo

All afternoon - Program showcases, crafts, marketplace, scavenger hunt and more.
