Human trafficking is one of the fastest-growing crimes in Canada, with Ontario accounting for over two-thirds of all reported cases. Many of these victims are young women and girls, often exploited in plain sight, including right here in communities like Burlington.
That’s why we’re stepping up—and inviting you to do the same. Your participation in this event supports the Canadian Anti-Human Trafficking Consortium, an organization dedicated to prevention, support, and rescue efforts across the country.
💡 Why Burlington? Our city may seem far removed from this crisis, but traffickers often target areas along major highways and transit routes—making Southern Ontario a hotspot. Together, we can raise awareness and vital funds to help stop trafficking before it starts.
🗣️ Special Guest Speaker: Jinisha Bhatt We are honored to welcome Jinisha Bhatt, founder and CEO of the Canadian Anti-Human Trafficking Consortium (CAHTC), as our guest speaker. Jinisha is a leading expert in anti-financial crime and human trafficking investigations. Her organization collaborates with law enforcement and private sector entities across Canada to identify and combat human trafficking through innovative approaches, including the use of open-source intelligence.
