Service of Remembrance by the Burl-Oak Naval Veterans to honour all those 30,000 Canadian Veterans who served during the Korean War (1950-1953), the Peacekeepers until 1957 and the 516 Canadian casualties of this conflict, including 9 crewmembers from the 8 Royal Canadian Navy ships who lost their lives in pursuit of Korean freedom. The Service will include dignitaries from the Korean Consulate, our Federal and Provincial leaders, all welcomed by the Mayor of Burlington.
